Change Agent Application: The Liberia YMCA will sponsor two young people to join the 5th Cohort of the Change Agent Program of the World Alliance of YMCAs. The 5th cohort seeks to engage 100 young leaders from around the world to be the next generation of changemakers within the YMCA and the communities they served. The YMCA Change Agent programme is a global leadership development programme to empower young leaders as change makers in their communities.
YMCA Change Agents are young volunteers and/or Intern from YMCA who strengthen the YMCA to serve more young people. You will participate in innovative and life changing experiences including online and face-to-face training, mentoring and local project development for expansion of youth services. You will gain skills to help transform the YMCA and your local community; and build connections to an international network of other young leaders. An in-person gathering of selected Change Agents will take place in July 2024, and further details about the place, and dates, will be communicated no later than July 2023.
World YMCA will provide certificates to the participants who complete the programme Requirements:
1. Must be an active YMCA volunteer/intern with current membership status.
2. Must be an active volunteer/intern from one of the Liberia YMCA branches.
3. Must be willing to implement action at home and provide close mentorship and program Support to their local branch.
4. Must have a record of active involvement with a local youth council in any of the YMCA of Liberia Branches. Note: your active involvement with a Youth council or branch must be endorsed by your Local Youth Council President or the County Coordinator.
5. Must be willing to attend an online and in-person session. 6. Must have a current passport and be fully vaccinated with internationally accepted COVID-19 vaccines or be willing to be vaccinated .
